Flybe still the best for Jersey to London commuters

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is celebrating the news that it is the most punctual airline operating services between Jersey and London airports, easily outperforming competitor carriers.

Punctuality figures for the first three quarters of 2007 released by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rank Flybe as the most punctual airline from Jersey to London with 79.53% of flights departing within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time – outperforming rival carrier BA by a whopping 15%. Flybe’s average delay of 12 minutes also comfortably beats the 18 minutes of British Airways*.

Over the past nine months, Flybe’s punctuality has been rated excellent month on month - welcome news to Jersey residents who rely on Flybe’s prompt and affordable service to the nation’s capital.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe said, ‘‘Flybe continues to offer the most punctual flights from Jersey to London, and we’re consistently outperforming our rivals.

“With London such a key destination for both business and leisure travellers, we realise the importance of providing customers with a service they can rely on and these strong punctuality figures speak for themselves. We’re looking at 2008 being even better.”

Flybe currently operates 18 domestic routes from Jersey including regular services to Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster Sheffield, Dublin, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Guernsey, Inverness, London Gatwick, London Southend, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton.
