Jersey – Nice
- Flights operate on Saturdays from 24th May 2008
- Fares start at £39.99 one way including taxes and charges (on sale from 11am 08/02/2007)
The new route is fantastic news for Jersey travellers looking to experience some French flavour on the Mediterranean coast this summer. The Côte d’Azur has long been attracting visitors from across Europe, and Nice in particular is a popular tourist destination, famed for its port, the Old Town and the Promenade des Anglais.
This latest announcement will provide even more choice for reliable, low-cost services from Jersey and will take the number of Flybe services to the UK and Europe from the island to 20. And at a time when our competitors are openly talking about withdrawing services, Flybe has consistently added to its Jersey route network, with destinations such as Cardiff, Doncaster and Aberdeen having been introduced over the last 12 months.
Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe comments: “The new route to the French Riviera is great news for passengers and sees Flybe building on our commitment to the Island at a time when our competitors are withdrawing services.
“We see our new Nice service as a natural addition to our established route network out of Jersey and we are confident this will be a very popular destination.
“As Europe’s largest regional low-cost airline, we will continue to explore all possibilities for expanding our services, anticipating the needs of the travelling public and enhancing our services in response to what our customers want. Unlike other airlines who are openly discussing cutting back on services, Flybe is only interested in introducing more routes.”
