Flybe is fastest growing airline serving Germany
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional low cost airline, has been recognised as the fastest growing low cost carrier flying to and from Germany with a massive 392% increase in flight ranking over the past 12 months. Flybe now operates 128 weekly flights serving five primary airports in Germany, up from the 26 flights on offer in 2006/7.This finding was published in the latest ‘Low Cost Monitor’ survey issued by the influential German Centre for Aero- and Spacetravel that tracks the development of low cost airlines operating in and out of the country.
Commenting on the news, Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, says: “We’re absolutely delighted to be significantly ahead of our competitors in terms of growth in Germany. This can be attributed to our tried and trusted regional business model which serves many of Germany’s key airports.
“We are always looking at ways to grow the Flybe brand, offering our passengers even more routes to business and leisure destinations across the UK and Europe. We are heartened by the fact that our efforts in Germany have not gone unrecognised.
“We look forward to continuing to serve the German market over the coming months and to further demonstrating our commitment to the region, providing travellers with an affordable, efficient and customer-focused travel experience.”
