Flybe celebrates millions of Rewards4all

19th August 2008 Print
Flybe reports that the first 12 months of its generous Rewards4all frequent flier programme has proved a resounding success; with over two million reward points awarded, over 6,000 free flights redeemed and in excess of 2,000 Premier Cards already issued for year-long access to Flybe’s Executive Lounges. Flybe has 13 exclusive UK lounges, more than any other domestic airline.

Rewards4all continues to be the most generous frequent flier programme in the UK. Passengers have been fast to sign on to the first-ever UK low cost airline programme available to all passengers. It provides members with an automated simple to use and easy to understand programme that puts the customer in charge of their rewards using their own online customer account.

Business travellers, in particular, have fast come to recognise that the last remaining reason to fly legacy carriers has gone. With the success of Rewards4all, Flybe now offers a full range of services for busy business fliers from online check-in, airport fast track, exclusive Executive Lounge access, ticket flexibility and now the UKs most generous rewards programme that passengers benefit from every time they travel.

Unlike other airlines’ schemes that are limited to those buying more expensive fare levels, Rewards4all is open to every single Flybe passenger. Points can be earned even on a £21.99 ticket.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer comments: “The uptake on Rewards4all has surpassed even our expectations. In these tough economic times, people are looking for the very best deals available. Our affordable fares, coupled with the ability to immediately start earning valuable frequent flier points no matter what the price of the ticket, is obviously proving just the ticket!

“Flybe currently carries the highest percentage of business travellers in the low cost sector and Rewards4all is helping develop and maintain those relationships. There is now no reason to fly legacy. The scheme is also a big attraction for those second home owners, city breakers and families who, needing to make regular trips to visit friends and family, are at the heart of our customer profile.”

Passengers also earn points regardless of how they book. Again, unlike other low costs, Flybe allows bookings through travel agents and corporate bookers as well as through call centre and online at flybe.com. Customers just need to set up a customer account on the flybe.com website and once they have earned enough points, can manage their flight redemptions online.

Rewards can be earned as follows:

• Economy one way = 1 point
• Economy return = 2 points
• Flybe Economy Plus one way = 2 points
• Flybe Economy Plus return = 4 points

How many points are needed to start redeeming:

• 16 points are required for a free return flight (means only 4 Economy Plus returns or 8 Economy returns)
• 20 points are required to get 1 years free access to Flybe’s VIP airport executive lounges (means just 5 Economy Plus returns or 10 Economy returns)
