Flybe promotes cross-channel options

2nd October 2008 Print
Flybe continues to offer convenient and affordable cross-Channel travel options, particularly on the routes popular with business people wishing to travel to Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels. The airline was quick to make extra capacity available last month to assist passengers stranded in Paris and Brussels as a result of the fire in the Channel Tunnel.

Flybe continues to experience record passenger loads on its main European routes with Birmingham proving especially busy.

With 50 flights a day serving the main European cities accessed from Eurostar, from a wide range of UK destinations including Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Exeter and Norwich, Flybe is the regional airline of choice for those needing an efficient and reliable service to key capital European city airports.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer says: “Our regional network means that travellers can connect to more UK destinations than with any other airline. I’m delighted Flybe has been able to come the rescue of so many travellers and also that so many have appreciated the fact that we do offer the best option for cross-Channel travel.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and will add as many seats as we possibly can to fill the gap in cross-channel transport still impacted by last week’s fire.”

Seats are available for booking now from £49.99 one way including taxes and airport charges, on flybe.com.
