Flybe reports strong sales during Fashion Week

Flybe, the third largest slot holder at London Gatwick, is reporting exceptionally strong sales on all the routes it operates to the UK capital during London Fashion Week.

With 44% more flights available than this time last year with the addition of three new routes into London from Aberdeen, Newcastle and Newquay, the airline can now offer fashionistas up to 64 flights a week on eight popular routes that also include Belfast, the Channel Islands, Inverness and the Isle of Man.

There is especially strong demand for seats over the opening weekend from trendsetters heading to the fashion extravaganza that is being held between February 20th and 26th with those from Scotland and Cornwall also choosing Flybe when guaranteeing they catch a first glimpse of this year’s spring/summer fashions.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer comments: “Flybe is committed to supporting business and to keeping Britain on the move during these challenging economic times. A large part of this is realising the importance of maintaining affordable choices with a convenient multi frequency schedule on these key routes into London.

“Flybe operates five times more domestic routes than any other airline and we’re happy we can now provide even more routes to London Gatwick so that our customers from across the UK can enjoy their first major 2009 fashion fix!

“With our convenient and affordable travel options to London, passengers can be assured they will be able to conveniently and seamlessly fly from the airport runway to the fashion runway in no time at all!”

Tickets on all Flybe’s London Gatwick routes are available for booking now on flybe.com from £24.99 one way including taxes and charges.
