Flybe reports bookings boost for half-term

18th May 2009 Print
Flybe is looking forward to a bumper half term with sales already up 8% compared to the same period last year and demand still exceptionally strong especially for its popular Channel Islands, London Gatwick and Belfast flights.

In addition, passenger bookings are also heavy on its 19 routes to Edinburgh with fans flocking to the city from all over the UK for the Heineken Cup Final on Saturday May 23rd, those from Europe taking advantage of Flybe’s convenient through connection schedules.

Flybe is doing all it can to keep Britain on the move during these challenging economic times. The airline offers a combination of affordability and unparalleled travel choice to the regions with one way fares still available across the network for the half term week from £21.99 including taxes and charges.

Healthy sales across the board are also being driven by a number of recent promotions that are striking a chord with UK travellers keen to make their money go as far as possible: currently Flybe is offering an up to 50% off Winter Seat sale with bargain fares available through Monday 18th May on a number of attractive routes.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe, comments: “Given the current economic climate, we are delighted to report increased sales especially over this half term. Our combination of low fares and regional flexibility means that those wanting affordable breaks have been given the opportunity to do so. We would advise those looking for breaks later in the year to book now to make sure they take advantage of the lowest possible fares.”
