Flybe celebrates new Newquay lounge with a VIP offer

10th August 2009 Print
Flybe, the only carrier serving the South West with a direct daily service to London Gatwick, is celebrating the opening of Newquay Cornwall's new Executive Lounge - its presence now not only firmly positions it as one of the South West's two top leading airports but also as a serious national aviation player.

The new Executive Lounge at Newquay Cornwall would normally only be open to Flybe's Economy Plus passengers but, to celebrate the opening of this impressive new facility, Flybe has extended the privilege to now include its Premierecard holders until December 31, 2009.

Rewards4all, the UK's most generous frequent flyer programme, gives members who have collected 20 points or more, the redemption option to receive a Premierecard that allows them access to all Flybe's network of 11 dedicated lounges in major airports around the UK.

The opening of this new facility for South West business passengers extends Flybe's ability to offer its passengers Executive Lounge access to no less than 18 UK airports, a much sought-after option not available with any other airline.

Mike Rutter, Flybe's Chief Commercial Officer says: "We wanted to do something tangible to celebrate and support the opening of Newquay Cornwall's new business lounge. It is important that our loyal passengers have every opportunity to travel with the least possible hassle and the opening of this comfortable new facility now makes this possible for those flying with Flybe across the length and breadth of the UK.

“This great addition will complement and prove of especial value to those travelling on our popular London Gatwick service where, at the South Terminal, we have our own dedicated Executive Lounge. I am sure that it will prove a valuable tool in contributing to firmly positioning Newquay Cornwall as a leading airport."
