bmi regional leaves the competition behind

2nd April 2007 Print
Aberdeen-based bmi regional was the most punctual scheduled airline at UK airports during 2006 according to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) figures. Ninety-one per cent of the airline’s flights were on time with no other carrier coming near the 90 per cent mark. bmi regional has been a consistent top performer in the on-time stakes, and retains the position of most punctual airline for the second consecutive year.

The average delay for bmi regional was just five minutes, the lowest achieved by any airline over the past three years. It is one of the best punctuality performances ever recorded for a scheduled airline since flightontime.info began analysing CAA punctuality records in 2003.

Parent airline bmi also kept its crown as the UK’s most punctual airline out of Heathrow.

Stewart Adams, bmi regional managing director, said: “Punctuality is a top priority for the business traveller. We recognise this and being on time is something we constantly strive for. We are extremely proud of our on-time record and the staff who work so hard to make it a reality, but there is no room for complacency. Everyone at bmi regional is determined to retain and strengthen our number one position in the future.”

bmi regional operates a fleet of modern Embraer jet aircraft, and offers attractive business and economy fares and a renowned service, which continues to provide complimentary in-flight refreshments to all passengers.

Unrivalled punctuality and reliance in the air is matched with speed and efficiency on the ground with business lounge facilities and a range of check-in options, including online or self-service check-in.
