bmi regional adds extra Manchester-Edinburgh flight

bmi regional, officially the UK's most punctual airline, is to add an extra return flight between Manchester and Edinburgh from 28 October, taking the number of flights each weekday up to eight in either direction- a total of 88 flights every week on the route.

The airline is also retiming one of its existing weekday flights, improving the schedule for travelers. The news comes as latest CAA figures show that bmi regional has retained its position as the UK's most punctual airline, with 91 per cent of flights on time.

Peter Kenworthy, commercial director of bmi regional, said: "We are delighted to be introducing this additional service between Manchester and Edinburgh, well-timed for the business traveller in particular. We are also confident that the other timetable improvements between Manchester and Edinburgh will be popular with travellers, which together with our full service offering gives us a unique advantage over our competitor on the route. bmi regional will offer the most flights each weekday between the two cities.
