bmi regional named UK's most punctual airline in 2008

bmi regional has been named the UK’s most punctual airline for the first six months of 2008, according to official statistics published by the CAA. From more than 740,000 scheduled flights analysed, whilst the average delay of all airlines was 17.3 minutes, bmi regional achieved an average delay of less than 6.5 minutes. 88% of bmi regional flights operated on time compared to the industry average of only 69%.

In the latest month surveyed (June 2008), bmi regional was the only airline to have more than 90% of its flights operating on time, 25 percentage points above the industry average (93% vs 68%) with an average delay of just 3.9 minutes compared to an industry average of 17.4 minutes.
