Indigo Bay Re-opens in Mozambique

The Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa received an extensive range of improvements, most notably for the comfort of guests, including the conversion of the 24 Bay View rooms in to 12 "Bay View Suites", each with their own splash pool.
Commenting on the re-opening, Rene Breuer, Sales and Marketing Director for Rani Resorts said, "These enhancements form part of our total improvement programme to raise the quality of Rani Resorts' portfolio of resorts to the best in world standards. The Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa has received many accolades in the past, and we feel that this recent development and investment will firmly put the resort and the region at the peak of its class, setting the benchmark for other resorts to follow".
The new Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa offers accommodation and facility upgrades that include the construction of a new destination spa, improved leisure facilities including the addition of two floodlit tennis courts, a magnificent ocean-view boma, new fishing and diving centres, another swimming pool, a new restaurant and the world's first custom-designed International Island Qolf course.
The creation of the 12 Bay View Suites, each consisting of two bedrooms, provide spacious and modern comforts, overlooking the Bay with interior designs that boast the best fabrics and décor currently available in resort room design. There is a private luxury outdoor dining area and an individual splash pool for each suite. The Bay View Suites are perfect for a romantic getaway or a family break.
Other accommodation is provided by 29 Beach Chalets, each complete with indoor and outdoor showers, en-suite bathroom with sea facing oval bath, king size beds, balcony, and open plan living area.
Commenting on the re-opening, Mr Breuer added, "The response to the redevelopment has been phenomenal. The hotel is full from 10 December 2006 to 10 January 2007, however, guests can still utilise our special low season rate for Jan - Mar of US$ 300.00 per person sharing per night in a Beach Chalet, including accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, bottled water in room, tea/coffee, non-motorised watersport activities/equipment and park fees".
The resort also boasts a dedicated honeymoon chalet, and the addition of a Presidential Suite, which has its own spa bath and rim-flow swimming pool. All rooms at the Resort are mosquito screened, come complete with central air-conditioning with adjustable temperature settings, mini bar, satellite TV and a tea / coffee station.
With the scheduled opening of the fully equipped and air-conditioned gymnasium in February 2007, and the Sanctuary Spas managed spa facility in May 2007, the resort will be the perfect location for a luxury break, within a couple of hours of neighbouring South Africa.
