Summer Lodge is hosting an evening of dining dedicated to Dom Pérignon - one of the most celebrated names in Champagne. On Saturday 10 March 2007 Summer Lodge, the delightful family-run Relais & Châteaux hotel in Dorset, is hosting an evening dedicated to Dom Pérignon - one of the most celebrated names in Champagne.

Including a one-night stay, guests will enjoy a range of activities during the afternoon before starting with a comparative tasting of four Dom Pérignon vintages. After enjoying a Dom Pérignon cocktail, guests will then be invited to take their seats for a special dinner created by Executive Chef Steven Titman – Waitrose Magazine recently reported that ‘our dinner was worthy of a standing ovation’ – to match the unique and extravagant qualities of Dom Pérignon. Preceded by canapés and an apéritif glass of the showcased vintage, each of the four courses will be accompanied by some of the world’s finest wines and coffee taken with a glass of the deeply lustrous Hennessy Paradis Cognac.

The package also includes a full English Breakfast the following day – with a glass of Dom Pérignon as a high-toned eye-opener– and a presentation bottle of the ’99 in each guest’s room.

Prices for this one off experience range from £675 per couple in a Classic Room to £950 per couple in a Master Suite or in Ivy Cottage. For guests who only wish to attend the dinner on Saturday evening, prices are £450 per couple, or £250 for single diners. And perhaps the best thing of all about this gift is that if you give it to the right person, you’ll be there to share the pleasure (which also makes it the perfect birthday or late Valentine present).
