Teenage Caribbean holiday heaven on Antigua

6th March 2007 Print
Antigua Moody teenagers complaining they have nothing to do and are bored can dampen any family holiday. But help is at hand for Caribbean holidays at least, as Curtain Bluff, Antigua’s leading luxury all inclusive resort, has launched a determined bid to attract families with teenage children to holiday at the hotel this summer.

While many resorts in the Caribbean concentrate on offering facilities for young children and toddlers, Curtain Bluff is targeting older offspring. The resort is remaining open throughout the summer this year to attract British families and is offering teenagers a whole range of interesting activities including learning to deep sea fish. The fishing lessons take place on the hotel’s own fishing boat which is used to catch the fresh fish featured daily on the resort’s dinner menus.

The resort is well known for its tennis facilities and older children can learn to play the game or improve their current skills with the resort’s tennis pros on any of the nine courts available. Scuba diving for any qualified young divers is complimentary and sailing lessons are also on the teenager activity menu using one of Curtain Bluff’ yachts.

This month Curtain Bluff is opening one of the biggest and most comprehensively equipped spas in the Caribbean. Teenage girls in particular may well be interested in enjoying the manicures and pedicures available.

And of interest to all parents with growing children with equally growing appetites, the resort is all inclusive meaning their offspring can eat as much as they like at no extra cost!

In addition the resort has an outdoor children’s playground and indoor playroom with PC’s, DVD’s and computer games. Families with younger children are also welcome at Curtain Bluff. A VIP Baby Package includes the provision of a cot, baby bath, bottles sterilized by kitchen staff and babysitting arrangements. In addition there are special children’s menus and dining times and a supervised morning Kids Camp for three to eight year olds open during July and August.

Caribtours (caribtours.co.uk) offers one week at Curtain Bluff, Antigua from £8,418 per family (based on 2 adults & 2 children ages up to 16 yrs sharing) in two Deluxe Rooms on an All-Inclusive basis for stay between 1 - 20 July or 19 - 31 August 2007.
