Australian wines land on Barbados shores

Little Good Harbour is already well known in celebrity circles for its award winning Fish Pot restaurant and the wine connection is through Andrew Warden , the resort’s Australian owner whose family own vineyards in the Margaret River area.
Six new 2175 sq ft Vineyard suites (the other wines featured on the doors being Moondance, Leeuwin and Voyager) are now available to holidaymakers choosing to stay at Little Good Harbour. The design is a mix of traditional Caribbean and modern architecture, giving large living space, décor in neutral shades with hard wood polished floors and pickled wood or textured ceilings. Whilst distinctly tropical, this development offers high quality European elegance.
In each suite there are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large tiled verandah encompassing the dining and outdoor areas and breakfast bar, and a fully equipped kitchen. The Italian stone tiled bathrooms include a separate bath and shower in the master suite and spacious showers in the remaining two. There is a large swimming pool for the exclusive use of the Vineyard suite occupiers.
The all suite Little Good Harbour now has a total of 21 suites ranging from one bedroom to three. The resort is situated in a peaceful little fishing community on the north west coast of Barbados, close to the site of the historic Rupert Fort, dating back to the 17th century. Guests can enjoy the quiet of Little Good Harbour yet have easy access to the activity and excitement of the fashionable and exclusive West Coast area, just 15 minutes away. It is one hour’s drive from the airport, seven miles from Holetown and just two miles from Speightstown shopping centre.
