Caviar & Champagne at new luxury resort spa

Other features at the new spa include a cliff edged infinity hot tub, a whirlpool bath on the balcony of the double treatment suite and indoor and outdoor water features designed to emphasise the atmosphere of calmness and relaxation.
The spa, which should have opened in January this year but was delayed by construction hold-ups, will offer a full range of Pevonia treatments and massages designed exclusively for the hotel including a signature Caviar and Champagne Massage. This decadent treatment involves massage with caviar and essential oils after which champagne is poured over the body for the ultimate relaxation experience! Other treatments include an Antigua Sizzle Wrap, a Caribbean Green Coffee Wrap and Pevonia’s famous Sabai Stone Therapy.
Special spa packages are also available including The Ultimate Escape that lasts for six hours. It includes a Curtain Bluff signature massage, facial, pedicure, shampoo, style and deep condition treatment and costs US$405.
The staff members are all Pevonia Botanica trained therapists working under the direction of Spa Director Novie Jones who was previously spa manager at the exclusive Babington House in Somerset. The spa building was designed by British born architect Andrew Goodenough.
Rob Sherman, the resort’s managing director, said “Since it opened in the early 1960’s Curtain Bluff’s service and amenities have set the standard for excellence throughout the Caribbean. The hotel now offers the best resort spa complex on Antigua and the opening of the spectacular new facility takes Curtain Bluff on to another plain as far as services and activities are concerned, leaving our competitors at other resorts on the island struggling to keep up with us.”
Curtain Bluff is surrounded by vibrant tropical gardens and offers beautiful, white sand beaches, a multitude of water sports, a professionally staffed tennis facility, squash courts and gym combined with top cuisine and a world class wine cellar.
Carrier (Carrier.co.uk) offers seven nights all inclusive at Curtain Bluff from £1680 pp. The price is based on two people sharing a deluxe room and includes return British Airways flights from Gatwick, private transfers and resort activities including water-skiing, windsurfing, tennis, squash and yoga. Spa treatments are extra. Alternatively book direct with the hotel (Curtainbluff.com) where all inclusive prices start at US$495 daily plus service/tax for a deluxe room.
