Little Creek Casino Resort unveils spectacular hotel addition

5th April 2007 Print
Little Creek Casino Resort – the popular resort owned-operated by the Squaxin Island Indian Tribe – today announces the addition of 98 rooms. The new hotel tower is adjacent to the original hotel which opened in December 2003. The two five-story towers are connected by a ground-floor walkway which resembles the interior of a tribal longhouse.

Room rates range from $96 to $475 depending on time of stay and room selected (subject to availability).

“Little Creek Casino Resort, the Squaxin Island Tribe and our guests have expressed great appreciation for our newest resort enhancement,” says Ray Peters, Executive Director of the Squaxin Island Tribe. “The additional rooms allow us to better accommodate growing guest demand and better integration with the events and conferences we are booking in our new Skookum Creek Event Center.”

The Skookum Creek Event Center opened Summer 2006 and will host several major events this year including Comedy at the Creek (April 14), John Michael Montgomery (May 11) and REO Speedwagon (May 12).

More than 1,000 pieces of art from tribal artists, most of them Squaxin, were purchased for the new tower. Bronze figurines of a woman in traditional tribal attire, a coyote and a raven are other aesthetic touches which blend seamlessly with the casual, cultural elegance which pervades the resort.

All guest rooms contain Sister Sky Spa Collection amenities, amenity products made with natural ingredients and high quality botanicals by a Native American-owned company.

Little Creek Casino Resort has plans to build a Gene Bates-designed championship golf course called Salish Cliffs Golf Club (Salishcliffs.com), scheduled for a 2009 opening.

Located minutes north of Olympia on Highway 101, Little Creek is nestled in the Kamilche Valley (or “Pleasant Valley”).

Little Creek’s Casino features table games – from poker to blackjack and virtually everything in between – and more than 600 slots. It provides both smoking and non-smoking gaming options. The Island Grill, Seafood Bar, Creekside Buffet and Skookum Spirit Lounge are some of the many food and beverage options.
