Bournemouth's first Boutique Hotel opens in Boscombe

This Spring sees the opening of Bournemouth’s first boutique hotel – The Urban Beach - in the beautiful Victorian resort of Boscombe. Just five minutes from the seafront, The Urban Beach is a cosy hideaway with spacious rooms, huge sumptuous beds, luxury bathrooms, snug sofas, and not a hint of chintz.

The hotel was first opened in 2006 but has since been given a full makeover. Mixing the coolest of contemporary urban design with the feel of relaxed beach life, the Urban Beach also retains a friendly family-run atmosphere.

Rooms range from huge, decadent doubles with massive chandeliers, luxurious velvety curtains and cushions, and big bay windows to let in the morning sun, to cosy singles with wake-me-up showers and perfect beds for snuggling down in. Each room has been individually designed with walnut or oak furniture, the ultimate in mood lighting and extra touches of luxury from around the world, such as Egyptian cushions, oriental headboards and one-off pieces of art.

In addition the rooms have wireless internet connection, flat screen TVs, DVD players with a wide selection of films, and slick bathrooms. There is also a bar and bistro serving lots of gorgeous food and drink and a terrace where bands play on long lazy summer evenings.
