Lessons in communication with horse whisperer

The Events and Conferences department at Swinton Park has teamed up with the Learning to Listen centre, based nearby on the Swinton Estate, to offer delegates a communication and team building package with a difference.

The centre is run by Sarah Kreutzer, who trained with the legendary horse whisperer Monty Roberts in the States and has now adapted her skills for training and developing interpersonal skills at a corporate level.

“A Horse Whisperer is a master of non-verbal communication, and it is by working with horses that we can interpret and develop an individual’s relationship and communication skills.” explains Sarah Kreutzer-Brett.

”Whether or not you are comfortable in the company of horses is irrelevant for training purposes. Working with the horses is an altogether different experience for a group or an individual, which takes them away from the conventional and sometimes blinkered mindsets of today’s ordinary training environment.”

The training offered would be suitable to mixed groups at all levels of the corporate structure, and can be packaged to suit a group’s requirements. A half day experience would cost in the region of £50 per delegate. The nearby facilities at Swinton Park, the luxury castle hotel in the Yorkshire Dales, include 30 bedrooms, 5 meeting rooms, private dining, country pursuits, spa and a cookery school run by the celebrity TV chef Rosemary Shrager.
