The White Swan Inn is a lovely place to stay and dine, family owned and run, situated in the historic old market town of Pickering on the edge of the North York Moors and well over 400 years old! The Inn was originally built in 1532 as a 4-roomed cottage that was soon extended and then pressed into service as a coaching inn on the ancient ‘Salt Route’ from Whitby to the commercial centre of York. You can feel the history of this old inn in the atmospheric public rooms and in the very fabric of the stones of the building that have seen so many travellers come and go over the centuries.
