Fashion Room Renowned Belgian fashion designers, Xavier Delcour and Christian Wijnants, have completed the collection of 12 unique designer label luxury “Fashion Rooms” at the five-star, Royal Windsor Hotel Grand Place in Brussels.

The idea for the ‘Fashion Rooms’ was conceived over a decade ago when a selection of the hotel’s guestrooms were scheduled for renovation. 12 out of the 266 rooms in the hotel were unusually shaped and the hotel decided to embrace their individuality by giving Belgium’s top fashion names ‘carte blanche’ to design a room each, in their own personal style. he first four were designed by Belgian stylists Mademoiselle Lucien, Jean-Paul Knott, Gerald Watelet and Marina Yee. Six more followed at a later date, designed by Haider Ackermann, Pascale Kervan, Nina Meert, Romy Smits, Kaat Tilley and Nicolas Woit, who each represent wildly different styles.

The final two have been designed by acclaimed stylists Xavier Delcour and Christian Wijnants.

The Xavier Delcour “Jewel Casket” Fashion Room: Xavier Delcour has taken his inspirational fashion expertise and combined it with a genuine flair for interior design to create a chic, town house apartment-style room. Like his clothes, the room displays meticulous attention to detail with a black and white colour scheme brought to life with hints of silver. The furniture is Art Deco and the combination of matt and gloss paint, satin, black leather and chrome interiors achieve a true celebration of pleasure, beauty and sensuality.

The Christian Wijnants Fashion Room: The room has been created by this designer from Antwerp on the principles of “Zen” to resonate peace and harmony. From the outset Christian Wijnants, assisted by architect and childhood friend Hélène Herman, wanted to create a sense of vast space. The attic area has been opened up and minimalist wood furniture with simple lines has been selected to create a light and airy feel. The safe, bar and wardrobe are incorporated into the walls and there isn’t a single door knob or handle in the room. Pure tones of artichoke, eggshell, clay and pearly gold create a luxurious living experience that will relax guests as soon as they enter the room.

Elegant and sophisticated, the five-star Royal Windsor Hotel Grand Place boasts the best location in Brussels. Just off the world-famous Grand Place and in front of the Grand Casino Brussels this "Bruxelles" hotel is within walking distance from Brussels' Central Station, the Antique Market on the Sablon, the Royal Covered Galleries and Brussels' Royal Palace Gardens. Brussels' Zaventem Airport is only a 20-minute journey away.
