Hotel Bergs opens the doors to its new restaurant in Riga

Boutique Hotel Bergs is glad to announce the opening of its newly renovated restaurant Bergs, offering a new and exciting design within this unique hotel with its excellent location in Bergs Bazaar, Riga.

Restaurant Bergs, decorated in a contemporary style, has been thoughtfully designed to provide guests with possibilities of calm and intimate retreat in the business centre of one of the most exciting city parts. The modern interior is accented with African colours and design elements. Restaurant has a nice glass veranda with view on the hotel courtyard and beauteous fountain. There, on summer terrace, people can enjoy the calm and leisured life of Bergs Bazaar.

Restaurant Bergs under the leadership of chef Kaspars Jansons provides our elitary clients with exquisite cuisine and distinguished service. The restaurant menu offers more to the considerate gourmand. The artful presentation of any of the outstanding dishes on offer is yet another chance to feast your eyes as well as stomach. It is the only place in Latvia where you can enjoy excellent California wines.

If you feel a little tired from walking around Riga, choose Santa Yenz Valley Zaca Mesa Chardonnay 2002: it is a light and refreshing wine bound to revive you. We recommend rounding your pleasure with a snack of warm Saint Marcelini cheese bouche with tomatoe confit, raspberry balsamico reduction and served with arugula pesto. Should your visit to the restaurant fall in the second half of the day and you feel like having a heartier meal, you can’t go wrong with a serving of smoked quail breast with eggs, warm plums and apples served with apple vinegar sauce. The quail will go well with Clos La Chance Central Coast Zinfandel 2003, a mature wine with a gentle berry aroma.
