Jersey Live & The Royal Yacht combine for the ultimate summer package

12th July 2007 Print
This September, The Royal Yacht will offer visitors to Jersey the chance to live like a rock star for the weekend. The hotel has joined forces with Jersey Live and created a tempting three day break to enjoy one of the best music events of the summer.

Revellers will hear great live music from the UK’s hottest bands over the weekend and return to The Royal Yacht each evening to continue living the high life.

This has to be the best way to enjoy Jersey’s biggest event of the year. Imagine... you’ve still got the final triumphant note of the last band pulsing through your ears but for you the night is far from over. Back at the hotel the residents bar is still open with ‘midnight munchies’ available for you to party the night away. Then, in the morning, recharge your batteries ready for the second day with a treatment in the luxury Spa Sirène or a dip in the pool. Try an experience shower, hydrotherapy bath or aromatherapy steam room to invigorate the senses and rejuvenate for part two of Jersey Live.

At £325 per person this represents a really great deal for a weekend break. The package includes your festival pass for two days, three nights’ bed and breakfast and loads of other perks including a Jersey Live goodie bag with a camera and cagoule (just in case!). The Royal Yacht have thought of everything and even supply a soothing eye mask in your room to make sure the long weekend doesn’t show.

Jersey Live co-organiser Warren Holt says they’re looking forward to another fantastic event. “I think it’s really exciting for the loyal fans that have been turning out each year to have a whole extra day of music this year. The demand for tickets has been huge and we know it’s down to the consistent success of the last three festivals and the great line-up secured for 2007.

“We’re really pleased with The Royal Yacht package on offer because we know some people love the festival atmosphere but prefer to relax between days in somewhere more luxurious than a field! The Royal Yacht certainly offers that and I’m sure the Jersey Live organisers will be checking in for some well earned recuperation too!”

The Royal Yacht Marketing Manager Dara Lutes also thinks the packages on offer will be snapped up quickly. “If you’ve ever been to a festival you’ll know that sometimes all you want after a long day on your feet partying is to sink into a soft bed and revitalise yourself. We know our target audience are the same people who’ll be going to Jersey Live so we thought it’d be fun to give people the rock star experience for the weekend.”

The Hotel...

The newly opened luxury four-star The Royal Yacht opened in July this year following a £30m refurbishment. It’s now one of Jersey’s top four-star hotels based near Jersey’s Harbour in the capital of the island St Helier. The hotel has four bars, three fantastic restaurants, a luxury spa and swimming pool and rooms with balcony views of Jersey Harbour.

They’re delighted to open their doors to those who want to party hard but recharge their batteries between nights in a sumptuous hotel room and luxury environment.

The Festival...

The indie/dance festival Jersey Live is thriving after three successful years. 2007 promises to be the best event yet with the running order spread over two days for the first time ever. The line-up on the main stage includes The Fratellis, who are headlining on Saturday Night and Kasabian, on their return to Jersey to top the bill on Sunday.

Jersey Live has received superb reviews from Kasabian front man Tom Meighan after their hugely popular set in 2006. He said it was the best reception they’d had at a festival all year and the audience were amazing. Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman said “Jersey Live has more pulling power than any other small festival.”
