A sparkling holiday success for Hilton

A Malaysian couple from Kuala Lumpur, Dr and Mrs Leng Seah Woon, are currently holidaying in Cairns and living it up at Hilton Cairns after winning a half-carat diamond in the hotel’s 20th Anniversary diamond giveaway.

The lucky couple, who were recommended by their ‘aunty’ to stay at Hilton Cairns, booked their trip with Sunlover Holidays. They are the fifth winners in a special promotion the hotel has been running in conjunction with Hardy Brothers Jewellers since Tuesday 3 July.

As guests of Hilton Cairns, the couple automatically qualified to visit Hardy Brothers Jewellers and try their luck at picking a genuine diamond from a bowl comprising a selection of diamond and cz stones.

According to Hardy Brothers Jewellers store manager, Winnie Shum, Dr Leng Seah Woon didn't think he had a chance of picking a diamond. So then his wife tried. When the stone she’d selected came up trumps as a genuine diamond, Dr Leng Seah Woon kissed his wife's forehead and exclaimed, "She is my lucky wife!" They couldn’t believe their luck. They are going to give the diamond to their ‘aunty’ as a gift to say thank you for the recommendation.

Hilton Cairns’ diamond giveaway continues until 15 December or until all stones are won. The ultimate prize of a one carat diamond will be drawn on Tuesday 18 December. To qualify to win the half-carat and one carat stones, simply stay at Hilton Cairns between now and Monday 15 December 2007.
