A match made in heaven at Hotel Du Vin

Whilst very much cutting edge in its approach to guests’ comfort, it celebrates all of its original opulent features – fireplaces, wood panelling, dramatic stained glass windows and sweeping staircases. Famed for its stylish interior, it has seen a glittering roll call of former guests including Leonard Bernstein, Neil Diamond and Kylie Minogue.
The hotel has a civil licence and House Number Five can be hired out in its entirety, including exclusive access to the property’s own ‘secret’ townhouse garden for an intimate and sophisticated ceremony. The property offers 12 luxury bedrooms and suites for double occupancy with full Scottish breakfast and exclusive use of The Macallan, Glenlivit and Ardbeg private rooms. There is capacity for up to 100 guests for a wedding reception.
As well as providing a charming and unique atmosphere for a wedding and truly luxurious accommodation for the newly weds and their guests, another important reason for the hotel’s top 5 listing by Brides Magazine are the menus created by the Hotel’s award winning head chef Paul Tamburinni. Using only the finest of natural Scottish produce he creates a truly memorable gourmet experience for wedding guests.
The hotel recently acquired House Number Four at One Devonshire Gardens– meaning that it now occupies the entire quintet of townhouses which make up the sweeping terrace. House Number Four is newly refurbished in the hotel’s trademark opulent style and offers even more wedding and honeymoon options to couples looking for something extra special.
The Domaine Georges Vernay within house number four is arguably the ultimate honeymoon suite. It comes complete with its own conservatory and patio with views over the Hotel’s terraced garden. It offers a perfectly private setting for a honeymoon break. It’s self contained and meals can be served in the suite if the couple so wishes. Honeymoon packages include the added romantic flourish of a chilled bottle of champagne on arrival and a dozen red roses delivered to the room.
One of the most magical elements of the suite is that it is a duplex. The conservatory suite has a staircase leading to a large downstairs bathroom – a luxury wet room. You will even find that the bathroom is stocked with covetable Jo Malone toiletries.
There are two further grand duplex suites within house number four – both feature freestanding roll top baths in front of period fireplaces. As with the conservatory suite, the duplex suites also have staircases leading downstairs to opulent wet rooms.
The new rooms make a handsome addition to the hotel which now has a total of 49 sumptuous bedrooms plus a Bistro deluxe restaurant, whisky snug, wine cellar, gym, treatment room and three private dining rooms.
Prices from £165 per night for a club room to £495 per night for the conservatory suite.
Price for hire of house number five is from £3,500.
