Fresh look for Hilton in Holland Park

Hilton Hotels has completed a £3.5m contemporary refurbishment of one of its central London hotels. The Hilton London Kensington on Holland Park Avenue, located in one of London’s most desirable neighbourhoods and minutes away from the West End, has undergone a major renovation in keeping with the company’s development programme.

Around 300 of the hotel’s rooms have been given a modern makeover, while a Purity Mind & Body spa has been introduced and the restaurant and coffee lounge have been given a new look and feel.

Alison Palin, general manager at the hotel, said: “The hotel benefits from a wonderful location, just off Holland Park and near to Notting Hill, and thanks to the investment it is now a more luxurious base for our customers.

“Our rooms, bar and restaurant are the perfect place to unwind during or after a day in the bustling city and the introduction of the Purity spa offers customers an additional source of relaxation.”

The investment included the introduction of LCD televisions into all of the rooms, the colour for the refurbishment of which is neutral accentuated by burgundy.

The AM/PM coffee lounge, open 24 hours and offering light refreshments, has been given a brighter touch with new lighting and flooring.

A soft refurbishment across the entire hotel spanned the conference and banqueting facilities.

The West Eleven restaurant has been decked out in chocolate-box mahogany and purple tones, offering modern European fare including scallops poached in coconut cream and prime Scottish fillet steak.

The Purity Body & Mind spa is available to guests and private members, offering a holistic body care system incorporating Dermalogica’s unique system of personalised skincare routines. Treatments include facials, jet lag massage, St Tropez tanning and nail care.

Room rates start at £99, subject to terms and conditions, while spa treatments include a 30-minute massage for £30.
