Hungary for value? easyHotel opens in Budapest Officially opened by Stelios on 3rd October 2007, easyHotel Budapest will offer value-conscious customers quality, en-suite double rooms in the heart of the historic Hungarian capital for less than £20 per room per night (29 euros).

The opening of easyHotel Budapest represents the third major city that the hotel company operates in, following the successful opening of hotels in London and Basel. Situated in the city centre next to Oktogon , close to the UNESCO world heritage site, Andrassy Street and an array of restaurants and attractions, the period building, offers 59 bedrooms with en-suite shower.

Relying entirely on web bookings to generate sales, easyHotel pioneered the super-budget hotel concept, which sees unnecessary frills stripped away - leaving guests with a cool city-centre crash pad at unbeatable prices. Over the next three years the operator has ambitious plans to open up to 60 new hotels in prime city locations across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Lawrence Alexander, easyHotel.com CEO, says: “I am delighted by this opening, Budapest is one of Europe’s prime city destinations, and plays a key part in our expansion strategy. Eastern Europe is experiencing rapid growth, with a surge in business and leisure travel and we are delighted to be playing our part in this.”

Talking about the development, Richard Lloyd, General Manager, easyHotel Budapest says: “We are exceptionally pleased to announce the opening of the easyHotel Budapest. This is a very exciting time for us and, with the success easyHotel has had so far, we are looking forward to working with them to meet the demand for quality, well priced hotel accommodation in Budapest”
