Columbia Beachotel wins TUI Holly award

The Columbia Beachotel on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus has received a TUI Holly award 2007. This recognition as a result of votes from 500,000 holiday-makers means the Beachotel is one of the 100 most popular holiday hotels in the world.

Germany’s leading tour operator TUI announces their Holly awards annually in October and, because guests themselves act as judge and jury, the award is seen as proof of customer satisfaction. TUI holidaymakers voted for their favourite hotel in this, the German tourist industry’s largest customer survey.

The Holly awards are determined by a customer satisfaction questionnaire. TUI asks respondents to mark hotels (from one to five marks) for the overall performance of the hotel as well as for individual facilities. The criteria include service, cleanliness, the quality and taste of food, well-being facilities and child friendliness.
