Breaks for Birdwatchers at Titchwell Manor Hotel

Thousands of brent geese arrive at Titchwell Marsh during November along with wading birds escaping the Siberian and Arctic winters – their massive flocks are a wonderful sight as they swirl like huge clouds across the coast and out to sea. Vast numbers of redwings, fieldfares and finches also migrate to the UK from Scandinavia making their first landfall in Norfolk. The numbers increase during December when visitors can also be treated to spectacular sunsets across the frosty reedbeds. Guided walks are available on selected days.
Titchwell Manor, a former Victorian gentlemen’s club, is now a delightful fusion of modernity and traditional values with contemporary furnishings. It’s recently doubled in size with thirteen new bedrooms built around a courtyard herb garden; each room is named after one of the aromatic plants.
