Michelin-Star cuisine comes to Florida resort

Assembled by LXR Luxury Resorts which manages the landmark property, these celebrated designers bring a fresh, new look to the legendary resort. The resort will offer guests new dining options with the addition of acclaimed restaurants and celebrated chefs including Cielo Restaurant by Michelin-star rated Chef Angela Hartnett, Florida’s first Old Homestead Steak House opened last summer and premiering in 2008, the resort will also introduce the culinary offerings of renowned Chef Masaharu Morimoto of Iron Chef fame, who will open a Morimoto sushi bar.
The first thing guests already familiar with the resort will immediately notice is the new lobby which has been expertly redesigned to ease the flow of arrivals, allowing a much more synergistic and efficient check-in process, something every hotel guest is sure to appreciate. French artist-architect Thierry Despont spearheaded the extensive refurbishment and revival of the resort’s majestic lobby.
Named after the Resort’s Founder, Addison Mizner, and paying tribute to his penchant for exotic pets, recently redesigned Mizner’s Monkey Bar, located just off the lobby of the Cloister, provides a sophisticated selection of cocktails, martinis and cigars and will offer new outdoor seating.
Located on the edge of the Resort’s golf course, the Boca Bungalows debuted in November with a complete renovation by acclaimed designer Alexandra Champalimaud. The exclusive, 2-bedroom Bungalows offer guests Private Residences within a world class hotel featuring full modern, stainless steel kitchens, concierge in residence, private parking, private swimming pool, room service, daily maid service and full membership privileges including golf, tennis, spa and dining.
Designer Tony Chi took a fresh, modern approach to the design of Old Homestead Steak House, opened last summer. Chi used contemporary metal materials and textured glass in the design of the 280-seat restaurant, juxtaposed with dark woods to create a dramatic setting that is sophisticated yet rustic. Established in 1868 in New York’s Meatpacking District, Old Homestead features an impressive menu of beef and an award-winning collection of wines, and is a longtime favorite there of locals and visitors alike.
Opened this February at the top of the Tower with a spectacular panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, Cielo Restaurant, by Michelin-star-rated Chef Angela Hartnett, indulges guests with modern Tuscan cuisine presented in a striking, contemporary décor by award winning New York architects Bentel and Bentel. Angela’s first U.S. restaurant, the dining room seats 125 guests, with an additional Private Dining room to accommodate 40 guests, a Chef’s Table and cocktail bar serving Spanish-style tapas to those looking for a lighter menu.
With the addition of these new dining establishments, and the magnificent redesign of both the guestrooms and public spaces, the 356-acre Boca Raton Resort & Club will long remain a favorite retreat for international travelers and local club members. Guests can select from five individual choices of accommodation within the resort.
Whether guests choose the original Cloister rooms which feature classic Mediterranean art and architecture, the contemporary Tower rooms with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Resort grounds, the newly designed Bungalows which offer a sense of peace and seclusion, the Yacht Club with its elegantly appointed suites and rooms or the famed Beach Club, they will instantly feel at home, experiencing the utmost in comfort and a truly refined sense of luxury. (Although the Beach Club is currently closed for a major renovation, the beach remains open with Temporary Beach Arrival Center for easy beach access, towel service and restrooms, light food and beverage fare at Cappy’s Express, umbrellas, chaise lounges and cabanettes available on the beach.)
