Pezula – The last word in luxury Award-winning Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa has announced the opening of its new ultra-luxury accommodation offering for the high-end market - Pezula Castle on Noetzie Beach.

Situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the Pezula Castle is built into the rugged cliff-face of the Garden Route coastline with its ancient milkwood forests and offers panoramic views of the beach and the sea.

Guests of the Castle have every conceivable wish catered for by a team of hand-picked personnel including a resident chef, housekeeper and butler and the rate is fully inclusive of all meals, drinks, snacks and refreshments, as well as selected activities such as horse riding, hiking, canoeing, tennis and use of the Field of Dreams golf practice range.

Menus are selected daily in consultation with the chef according to the freshest available ingredients, and the bar is stocked with guests’ drinks of choice. A fully equipped gymnasium, heated outdoor pool and thatched gazebo complete the extraordinary facilities.

And, if you tire of the beach, the many and varied activities and facilities of the adjacent Pezula Resort are available to you, including helicopter excursions, hiking through the indigenous forests, canoeing on the pristine Noetzie River, tennis at the Field of Dreams, horse riding through the fynbos landscapes, the 18-hole Pezula Championship Course, the multi-award-winning Pezula Spa and gourmet restaurant, Zachary’s.

The Castle offers a choice of accommodation in the spacious Main Castle and the romantic Honeymoon Castle.

With its cool neutral colours of blue and green, comfortable furniture and plush fabrics, the décor of the Main Castle has an aura of colonial splendour. Every conceivable luxury is provided for and each spectacular vista is maximised by huge windows and doors which open onto private terraces overlooking the beach.

The Main Castle has three sumptuous bedroom suites, a vast living room, dining room, fully equipped chef’s kitchen, wine cellar and upstairs sitting room. Each room has double doors which open onto secluded beachfront terraces.

The bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with walk-in cupboards, king-size beds, climate control, flat screen TVs, and a seating area. Bathrooms are ultra-luxurious with heated marble floors and towel rails, freestanding baths, spacious showers and dual vanities. Each bedroom is individually decorated, with seagrass floor coverings, pale blue walls and shades of blue, green and grey highlighted with red, yellow or taupe.

On the lower level the vast living room is airy and spacious, with huge windows and double doors which frame the spectacular views. Decorated in cool neutral colours of blue, green and beige with warm wooden parquet floors and crisp white woodwork, the room has a large wood burning fireplace, climate control, flatscreen TV and separate adjoining guest cloakroom. The north windows look onto a secluded, sunny courtyard shaded by ancient milkwoods.

The elegant 10-seater dining room, with luxurious wooden panelling, heavy linen curtains and silk-covered chairs, invites diners to linger after meals which are prepared by the resident chef and paired with wines from the award-winning cellar of Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa.

Adjacent to the Main Castle, the Honeymoon Castle is arguably the most romantic honeymoon venue in the world. Totally secluded and private, it is decorated as a luxury beach house in shades of cream and blue with quirky accessories that give it a nautical flavour. Downstairs an open plan living area comprises a diningroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge with wood burning fireplace and adjoining bathroom. The living area opens onto a wide, sunny terrace shaded with a rustic reed canopy and furnished with tables, chairs and loungers alongside a cosy heated plunge pool.

Upstairs the bedroom has its own fireplace, a king-size bed, plasma TV and comfortable sitting area with a daybed and armchairs. Two spectacular sets of double windows in arched frames allow breathtakingly beautiful views of the beach, the sea and the rugged headland beyond.

The huge luxury bathroom with its underfloor heating and nautical porthole windows has a double shower room, freestanding bath, dual vanities, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet.

Pezula Chairman, Keith Stewart said that Pezula is now able to compete with the most luxurious, high-end accommodation in the world. “The Castle is a unique offering. It has everything for the discerning traveller – a spectacular location with breathtakingly beautiful views, complete privacy, five star service and access to all the remarkable facilities and activities which have won Pezula accolades from the travel media and industry world-wide. I have travelled extensively all over the world and I do not believe that there is anything comparable to what we now offer.”
