Argyll Hotel nominated for 7 prestigious awards

Luxury west coast hotel Ardanaiseig, located in a remote area of the Argyll countryside, has been selected for a total of seven categories in the 2008 Scottish Hotel Awards.

With nominations by both the general public, and a pre-selected panel of industry experts, the nominations further cement the hotel’s reputation as one of the best in Scotland.

Set in a remote and secluded area of Scotland, the magnificent Ardanaiseig hotel overlooks the romantic Loch Awe and boasts breathtaking views of the Argyll glens. Ardanaiseig has 16 individually designed bedrooms each furnished with original artworks and antiques, and with the public rooms filled with sculptures and elegant furniture, the hotel exudes elegance and class. Ardanaiseig is nominated in the public categories of Romantic Hotel of the Year, Scottish Hotel Manager of the Year, Intimate Wedding Hotel and Scottish Hotel Chef of the Year.

An independent judging panel will also consider the hotel in the categories of Restaurant Manager of the Year, Wedding Co-ordinator of the Year and the Business Excellence Award.

The Scottish Hotels of the Year Awards, organised by Hotel Review Scotland, is the largest national awards event for the hotel hospitality industry, highlighting excellence and specific achievements in many categories. The 2008 awards are to be judged by a panel of 25 industry experts including Gary McLean, chairman of Hotel Review Scotland and David Young, the former AA Hotels inspector. The winners will be revealed at a glamorous awards ceremony held in February 2008.
