Elizabethan manor is beyond romantic For a very special treat this Valentine’s, book a night at Combe House, a wildly romantic Elizabethan manor hotel on a huge, secluded Devon country estate near Exeter where Arabian horses and pheasants roam freely.

Couples can chose to stay in the main house or a beautifully restored thatched cottage for two hidden in the woods at the entrance to the mile long drive.

Dinner is by candlelight in one of the hotel’s intimate candlelit dining rooms. A special six course Valentine’s night menu has been created by the hotel’s two Master Chefs of Great Britain, priced at £69 per person it includes a welcome glass of champagne and canapés; dinner on other evenings is £42 per person.

Accommodation in the Elizabethan manor house is from £170 B&B per room and £355 for the Linen Suite while the cottage is from £400 per night.
