Refurbishment plans for Sainte Anne Resort & Spa   Beachcomber Hotels has appointed Olivier Roussellier as the new general manager of its private island resort on the Seychelles island of Sainte Anne.

One of his first tasks will be to finalise and implement the major refurbishments planned to take place at the resort when it closes on April 18, 2008. The work is scheduled to be completed on July 24, 2008.

Roussellier brings a wealth of international experience to his new role; a graduate of the famous hotel school in Lausanne, he has worked in six countries including Switzerland, France, Greece, the UK, Japan and Réunion. A native of France he was decorated by the French Tourism Minister in 2004 and was presented with the National Order of Merit in 2005 from President Jacques Chirac.

While the hotel is closed 27 villa pools will be added and four additional treatment rooms will be built in the gardens of the popular Spa by Clarins.

Plans to further enhance the hotel's gastronomic reputation include extending the fine dining à la carte restaurant, Le Mont Fleuri, re-positioning the bar and adding a third restaurant overlooking the pool specialising in Italian cuisine.
