Once belonging to the Trafford family, each room has been named after members of the Norfolk landowners and much of the character of the family home has been retained - the artful décor of vibrant colour schemes and soft furnishings set the tone for luxurious relaxation, capturing a piece of Norfolk history for all to enjoy.
You can choose to stay in the original Queen Anne Wing of the house with views across the lawns and meadow, or alternatively you can stay in the quirky attic rooms and immerse yourself in the sensational views of the Broadland landscape.
The Lady Betty Suite is defined by its exceptional carved oak, king size, four poster bed. The traditional, free standing bath is the height of luxury and is accompanied by double sinks and a large shower in the ensuite bathroom.
The Trafford Suite belonged to Mr and Mrs Trafford and is in a perfect location to view the beautiful gardens. The stunning seven by seven foot emperor bed will make you feel like true royalty. The private seating area and ensuite bathroom with a cast iron slipper bath suggest the ultimate in hotel elegance.
Defined by its white and Wedgwood blue décor is Michael’s Room. The large cream four poster bed is the focal point of the room, overlooking the west gardens. The cast iron Norfolk bath is cleverly situated for you to combine beautiful sights with effortless relaxation.
Andrew’s Room can be adapted for your own personal needs, as either a double room with a super king divan bed or as a twin bedroom, with each bed being over three foot wide. The modern bathroom includes a triangular bath, big enough for two. With a colour scheme reminiscent of the outdoors, this room exudes calmness and tranquillity.
To find home from home luxury and lots of space, opt for Aunt Diana’s suite. With a personal lobby area and separate sitting room, you can indulge in having your own apartment. The vivacious gold and red decoration is accompanied by sumptuous fabrics, setting the perfect tone for a romantic getaway.
Amanda’s Room is the smallest bedroom in the Broad House Hotel, yet, the light and airy surroundings suggest a spacious and fresh feel to the room. The teal furnishings provide an appropriate contrast to the cream linen bed. The room is defined by the remaining G & T button positioned next to the bath retained from the original building.
The quirky attic rooms in Broad House Hotel are Bernard’s Room. Positioned in the West wing of the house you can look out of an arched window onto the gardens below. Or you can look southwards onto the wild meadow and of course, the Wroxham Broads. With its modern glass shower, this is the epitome of traditional furnishings and contemporary design.
Harry’s Room has a beautiful window seat with sights of the wild meadow and the Wroxham Broads. Complete with a Super King bed and lavish ensuite, this room demonstrates that when it comes to luxury, one bath simply isn’t enough.
The Abbotts Room fully embraces the past. The converted dressing room, used by Mr Trafford, is adorned with rich red and gold colours. The cast iron boat bath situated in the bedroom itself emphasises an intimate and traditional mood. With a sleigh bed facing the stunning views of the Norfolk countryside you can relax in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.
