Little Garonga- A little slice of heaven

Consisting of three luxury suites linked by pathways, Little Garonga is the brand new Safari Camp that opened in the Makalali Game Reserve in December 2007.

Little Garonga operates separately from the main tented Garonga Safari Camp, so popular with discerning travellers. Having two camps gives Garonga the flexibility to be able to offer its guests the option of occasionally meeting up for dinners in the boma if they want to. Both camps also benefit from being able to use the gorgeous new Bush Bath, located nearby, as well as the sleep-out deck in the bush under the stars.

Little Garonga has its own lounge, boma, dining area and breakfast deck – as well as massage sala. It also has its own dedicated guide, vehicle, chef and host.

Little Garonga was designed with exclusive use in mind, but can also be booked in part. The Hambleden Suite, which was the only exclusive Suite of the main tented camp, now forms the heart of Little Garonga – but now doubles up as a family suite with a separate Kiddies Room as well. The Hambleden Suite still has its very own swimming pool.

Pathways now lead the way from The Hambleden Suite to two fabulous new suites, namely The Buckingham and The Chiltern, meaning the camp sleeps 6 adults and two children in total. The main lounge/public area for the camp consists of an outdoor lounge, fully air-conditioned indoor lounge with its own fireplace and ‘help yourself’ Bar, swimming pool area where Dinners are enjoyed around the fire, and a separate BBQ area.
