A wellness weekend for women
Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort – a AAA Four Diamond property in Western Maryland – today introduces the Women's Wellness Weekend, scheduled for May 2 through 4. Designed to enhance the mind, body and spirit, planned activities include yoga, meditation, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rappelling, healthy dining and much more.Nestled at the base of Evitts Mountain, on the pristine shores of Lake Habeeb, Rocky Gap kicks off the weekend with a welcome reception, followed by a night hike along marked trails for a sensory awareness exercise. Yoga instructor Abby Burke leads many of the healing arts activities and caps the weekend with a discussion on how to incorporate the newly acquired wellness skills into day-to-day life.
“We’re extremely excited to offer this Women’s Wellness Weekend here at Rocky Gap,” says General Manager Tim Grambley. “This program offers women the tools to enhance their lives through activity, relaxation techniques and healthy eating.”
Prices for the weekend are $560 per person for a two-night, single-occupancy stay or $428 per person for a two-night, double-occupancy stay.
In addition to the Women’s Wellness Weekend, Rocky Gap offers a variety of value-laden packages – whether guests are looking to pamper themselves with an extended stay in the Garden Spa or test their skills on Maryland’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Guests can also pair the two for a one-of-a-kind Golf-and-Spa package.
Sitting at the gateway to Rocky Gap State Park, the resort is conveniently located within two hours of Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington D.C. Complementing the championship golf course and soothing Garden Spa, Rocky Gap also offers fine dining at the Lakeside Restaurant, horseback riding, paintball, a bird aviary and much more.
