Hotelopia launches Middle East partnership
Hotelopia, the online hotel booking specialist, has landed yet another major airline partnership with Gulf Air, the airline with the biggest network in the Middle East, to provide accommodation services on Gulfair.com.The new partnership will offer customers the opportunity to book hotels in the Gulf Air network, with the lowest prices guaranteed and 24/7 customer service. The destinations include Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha, Al Ain, Muscat, Dubai as well as destinations in Europe, Asia and beyond.
Furthermore, Hotelopia, in partnership with Hertz, will extend car rental services to Gulf Air customers across the Middle East.
The airline partnership is a major move for Hotelopia as it strengthens its position as a key ancillary supplier to both scheduled and low-cost airlines. Most recently, Hotelopia has secured partnerships with Eastern European airline Wizz Air and the North America based Zoom Airlines. These partnerships are in addition to the alliances formed already with airlines such as easyJet, bmibaby and other low-cost and scheduled carriers around the world.
By clicking on the ‘hotels’ link on www.gulfair.com, customers can access all current deals, book from thousands of hotels, view brochure-style content and useful location maps. For added reassurance, each booking includes a 24-hour customer service, seven days a week, whether at home or abroad.
Sotiris Damianos, Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotelopia commented: “We are very excited to announce our partnership with Gulf Air. It enables us to extend our services to customers across the Middle East and reinforces our position as accommodation partner of choice with airlines.”
“Furthermore, this ancillary partnership demonstrates our ability to source and supply a massive variety of hotels with an in-destination network, while giving customers confidence in the booking process.
“Our Middle East portfolio of hotels will grow further in the coming months benefiting all Hotelopia’s customers travelling to a region of huge economic growth, whether for business or leisure.”
Gulf Air conducted an extensive tender to secure a hotel and car booking engine partner that would meet a specific set of selection criteria over and above the usual questions concerning functionality and competitive rates; we are extremely satisfied with the solution, says Gulf Air Acting Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Danny Barranger.
“Hotelopia provides us with a good level of customization and a first-rate approach to account management that allows us to work in close co-operation with and focus on driving hotel and car sales.”
Gina Costa, Director of Travel Distribution, Hertz Europe, added: “We are delighted to work with Hotelopia and Gulf Air. As the world’s leading general use car rental brand, the Middle East is a very important market to us, and we look forward to offering innovative car rental services to Hotelopia and Gulf Air customers there.”
To mark the launch of the new hotels and cars service on the Gulf Air website, a massive range of exciting offers have been launched. Visitors to the ‘hotels’ page can book nights from £35 per person, per night in the luxury four star Golden Sands Hotel Apartments in Dubai or £57 per person per night in the five star Sheraton Khalidiya Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
