Butlins unveils plans for contemporary spa hotel

Butlins today unveils plans to build a second hotel at its popular Bognor Regis holiday resort. With an investment of approximately £20million, the new 200-room hotel will provide guests with a wide choice of contemporary accommodation plus a state of the art hotel spa.

Boasting an ultra-modern exterior, the new hotel will share the same construction team as the award-winning Shoreline Hotel, designed by Havant based firm PWP Architects Ltd. Yet to be named, the hotel will provide accommodation ranging from family rooms to doubles, twins and extended suites.

Mike Crowther, Project Director says of the build “This is obviously an exciting project for us. The Shoreline Hotel has proved a huge success attracting over 35,000 guests last year and achieving an average occupancy of 92%. The new hotel not only enables us to demolish older accommodation, but it provides us with more opportunity to support the fantastic regeneration program for Bognor Regis as a whole. The new hotel will look breathtaking”.

The new build is due to commence this spring and is set for completion and an official opening in Summer 2009. Once opened the hotel will provide up to two hundred new jobs in the Bognor Regis area.
