Children will be enthralled and entertained at The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction, a must for anyone wishing to learn about Jeremy Fisher, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Peter Rabbit. This year is the centenary of the publication of The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck with special events including puppet shows, egg hunts and competitions.

Young and old alike can take advantage of the miles of open countryside with walks, hikes, cycle rides or pony treks across the beautiful Lake District. Whilst the calm waters are perfect for those who would like to learn how to sail or take a cruise on one of the many lakes.

For those with energy left, Holbeck Ghyll offers a croquet lawn, putting green, tennis court and gym; whilst the steam room, sauna and spa treatment rooms are a perfect antidote for relaxation.

There are special dining times in the restaurant for younger children and parents may choose to take advantage of the hotel’s baby-sitting service so they can relax with a glass of champagne and canapés prior to a leisurely three-course gourmet dinner in the Michelin Star restaurant.
