Stelios opens easyHotel Luton
Twelve years after his first arrival in Luton in 1995, Stelios, the serial entrepreneur returns to the original home of his 'easy' empire, where he has cut the ribbon to open easyHotel Luton.Located in the town centre, close to Luton train station and only a few minutes’ taxi ride from the airport, the 58-room easyHotel Luton which is owned and operated by Eclipse Hotels, builds on the brand’s established model of simple comfort and great value.
Providing customers with a clean, consistent environment, comfortable beds and modern en-suite shower rooms whilst charging for ‘frills’ such as the TV, towel changes, internet access and luggage storage, means the hotel is able to offer special opening prices from just £19.95 per room per night.
With its focus on offering quality and value, easyHotel.com is increasingly looking at key airport locations in order to appeal to the pocket of the budget-conscious traveller. easyHotel Heathrow is poised to launch later this summer and a number of other hotels are due to be unveiled throughout Europe and the Middle East in 2009.
Stelios, easyHotel Chairman and Serial Entrepreneur, says: “I am delighted to be working with an experienced hotel operator like Eclipse Hotels in opening easyHotel Luton. It seems appropriate that our first UK hotel outside of London is to launch where my low-cost, business vision began over a decade ago. Offering great value for travellers, the hotel is perfect for those who want to avoid early starts, costly cab rides or wasting money on expensive accommodation during a stop-over.”
Talking about the easyHotel development, Sameer Damji, Managing Director of Eclipse Hotels, says "We firmly believe that the easyHotel brand and super-budget model has huge growth potential in the UK. The success that they have enjoyed over the past two years is testament to the rising demand for good quality, consistent, value for money hotel accommodation. We are looking forward to building on our partnership with easyHotel with the opening of our second property; easyHotel Heathrow, later this summer."
