Greg Dyke to open luxury hotel in the Peak District After a £4 million refurbishment the historic Best Western Mosborough Hall is set to open its doors this week with an appearance from one of the most powerful leaders among British independent television, former Director-General of the BBC, Greg Dyke.

Located amid the stunning beauty of the Peak District, this 16th Century manor house been transformed into an outstanding deluxe hotel, whilst still retaining its traditional charm.

General Manager, Ian Torpey, has recently been appointed to take on the task of overseeing the operation of the hotel. Talking of the developments he said: “The team and I are all very excited about opening this fantastic, luxurious hotel. We are also very privileged to be joined by one of the most influential British journalists, Greg Dyke.”

The hotel boasts a total of 42 bedrooms, which have all been elegantly designed with a contemporary slant. There are also two exceptional luxurious suites, each with their own wet room, marble roll-top baths and 32-inch plasma screen.

The Brasserie restaurant, lead by head chef Marcus Hall, formerly of the renowned restaurant Drunken Duck in the lake district, is set to become one of the most renowned restaurants in Yorkshire, with a menu reflecting the standard of his 2 Rosette background.

Situated amongst beautiful surroundings, Best Western Mosborough Hall is the perfect setting for weddings, special occasions and corporate events.
