Marilyn Monroe will be ‘hanging around’ London as part of a new painting collection by one of Italy’s most renowned artists, Daniele Dondé. A popular retreat for A-list celebrities and international jet-setters, Park Plaza Riverbank London welcomes Marilyn in a special world premiere on Wednesday 28 May 2008.

An exclusive event set to attract London’s elite, Dondé’s creations celebrate Marilyn as “the modern day Mona Lisa” according to the artist.

In the early 1980s, Dondé established ‘fakery’ as a respected artistic movement becoming the form’s undisputed leader. He believes in “giving everyone a masterpiece” and provides a Certificate of Inauthenticity to buyers of his renowned reproductions.

Dondé’s 30 piece collection includes 20 unique contemporary paintings never before exhibited. The highlight is Marilyn Rock, a painting of the film and fashion icon finished with gold, jewels and other precious stones.

A fan of Glam Rock Art, Dondé has a loyal following among the rich and famous. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Simon le Bon, Sophia Loren, Flavio Briatore, Prince Albert of Monaco and Giorgio Armani have purchased works by the artist.

Park Plaza Riverbank London is one of London’s favourite A-list venues. The Capital Radio Awards (April 2008), London Club and Bar Awards (June 2007) and Old Vic 24 Hour Plays Celebrity Gala have all been held at this stylish, sophisticated venue, located on the picturesque Albert Embankment.
