Two Scottish brands unite for Father's Day

Macdonald Hotels and Resorts and The Glenlivet have capitalised on their brands' Scottish connections to offer purchasers of bottles of The Glenlivet 12 year old whisky £100 off a minimum two night stay at any of 27 selected Macdonald Hotels across the UK.

The association between the two brands celebrates Macdonald Hotels and Resorts being nominated AA Hotel Group of the Year Winner 2007-8 and capitalises on The Glenlivet's position as one of the finest Scottish single malt whiskies in the world.

The on-pack activity - created by London-based brand agency Ignis who boast both Macdonald and Glenlivet as long-term clients - will be run on circa 33,000 70cl The Glenlivet bottles through selected outlets from early June through to the end of September, with promotional redemptions honoured until the end of November 2008. Additional advertorials featuring The Glenlivet will also run in key customer magazines in the lead up to Father's Day. Offering a chance to win weekend breaks at the 5 star Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel the promotions further emphasise the association between the brands.
