Summer BBQ's in an Alfresco oasis in Yorkshire

18th June 2008 Print
Summer BBQ's in an Alfresco oasis in Yorkshire The scent of fresh herbs, neatly trimmed topiary and the flicker of lanterns; the General Tarleton’s new Terrace Garden is a labour of love and a welcome addition to this lovely country inn, noted for its fine dining and wining as well as the luxurious accommodation on offer inside. Whatever the weather, diners flock to this lovely sheltered spot to enjoy the atmosphere, food, superb wine list and - at times, hopefully – sunshine!

And the GT's famous Barbeques will blaze into action on Saturdays from 21st June onwards between 1-7pm. Enjoy the delights of alfresco dining with a Mediterranean feel - whole fish, shellfish, joints of beef, lamb and pork and our special ‘beer can’ chicken, all served with salads and salsas of the day. There will also be various choices for children.

Needless to say other food served in this North Yorkshire alfresco oasis is also a delight; Whitby Crab Claw with Mango Salsa, Pan Fried Organic Salmon, Roast Rack of Nidderdale Lamb. A special summer treat also available is a trio of summer puds using berries from just 2 fields away.

Booking for the GT summer BBQ’s or the European-style Summer Dining is recommended.

The General Tarleton is situated in the small village of Ferrensby between York and Harrogate.
