Home Valley Station – An outback adventure

The premium level of accommodation, Grass Castles, includes eight rooms located along the banks of the Homestead's permanent waterhole, Bindoola Creek. The Grass Castles are reminiscent of the Kimberley's early pioneering settlers who designed sturdy steel and timber Homesteads however they are ultra-modern in comparison. Prices start from A$420 (approx £200) per room per night including breakfast.
The all-new Homestead Guesthouse Rooms offer visitors an insight into Home Valley's cattle station history. New buildings have replaced the original Stockman's quarters, with sensitive designs and use of similar materials like the corrugated iron walls and cool concrete floors ensuring history and authenticity is set to remain. Prices start from A$230 (approx £110) per room per night.
Guests can also choose to stay in one of four Sand Castle Eco Tents. Large semi-permanent safari-style tented cabins located in a quiet bush setting giving maximum privacy and a chance to connect with nature. Prices start from A$190 (approx £90) per room per night.
Home Valley Station is set at the base of the majestic Cockburn Ranges, one of the key natural landscapes that will feature in Baz Lurhman’s highly anticipated new movie Australia. The Station spans 700,000 acres (roughly the same size as Luxembourg) which leaves a lot of territory for visitors to explore.
Guests can enjoy a range of activities including cattle mustering, horse riding, bird watching, canoeing, barramundi fishing and guided walks through ancient gorges with local indigenous tour guides.
