Jurys Doyle announces two new appointments

Jurys Doyle Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Mark Roche-Garland as General Manager of the 4 star Jurys Bristol Hotel and Ruairi O’Connor as General Manager of the 4 star Jurys Cork Hotel.

Mark Roche-Garland will be responsible for the overall operations of the 187 room city centre hotel. He will also oversee a comprehensive refurbishment programme, which will transform Jurys Bristol into one of south-west England’s most luxurious hotel experiences.

Formerly the General Manager of The Courtyard by Marriott Northwest run by Jurys Doyle, in Washington D.C., Mark was responsible for managing a recent refurbishment programme at the hotel which introduced a number of significant enhancements to the property, including air-conditioning and floor-to-ceiling windows in every room, guaranteeing a panoramic view of the iconic Washington cityscape. Originally from Co. Clare, Mark brings over 10 years of experience to his position, having qualified in Business, Hotel & Catering Management at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.

Ruairi O’Connor, originally from Co. Tipperary, will be responsible for the operation of the 182 room Jurys Cork Hotel. Ruairi brings over 15 years of experience to his position, having qualified in Hotel & Catering Management at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and having held management positions in a number of Ireland’s most exclusive destination hotels including Ashford Castle, Hayfield Manor and Kinnitty Castle. He joins Jurys Doyle from his most recent position as General Manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa, in Cork.
