The May Fair - London Fashion Week’s official hotel

11th July 2008 Print
The May Fair - London Fashion Week’s official hotel This September will see the typical flurry of fashionable activity as the fashion world will collide at the May Fair Hotel, who are delighted to announce their status as the official hotel of London Fashion Week.

Located right in the centre of the Mayfair village, the May Fair Hotel will host the British Fashion Council’s International Party, the hottest ticket in town. The hotel is bracing itself for action to become the nerve centre of British style as this glittering soiree is where the top designers will hold court with supermodels, fashion scribes and the all-important buyers who will translate the catwalk trends into the latest looks in the months that follow.

And once the action of London Fashion Week is under way, bringing that feverish tinge that swirls around every season, the fashion pack will be on the lookout for some respite from the relentless round of parties. Those who feel in need of some reviving spa time would be hard-pressed to find themselves in more capable, rejuvenating hands. The May Fair Spa have crafted a number of express treatments to deal with LFW fatigue.

All bases have been covered so whether the fashion tribes complain of tired, aching feet, as they strut from show-to-show in their achingly hip but painfully high Terry DeHaviland trotters or bemoan the dark circles from the endless round of late night partying, the May Fair Spa will guarantee they’ll be back on their feet and facing the world with radiance in no time at all.

The May Fair will also act as a drop-in centre for designers and industry stalwarts, who will be able to conduct impromptu meetings in privacy. While the corridors will be awash with designers, models and the movers and shakers of the fashion world, the hotel has 13 world class signature suites in which to showcase all the latest collections and more besides. Their plush portfolio of offerings also includes the Crystal Room, the Danziger Suite, the Amba Salon, plus a private cinema for special event screenings.

And while much of London Fashion Week is accessible only to professionals in the industry, the May Fair will ensure that everyone can have some access to the LFW experience. While the bar will crackle with energy and spill over with the fashion industry elite, it will also feature a reviver corner, complete with therapists from the May Fair who will be on hand to offer mini-massages, wheatgrass shots and oxygen. Meanwhile, the Mixology team at the May Fair Bar will unveil an unrivalled combination of old classics, modern interpretations and bespoke drinks so that the Fashion Week experience is all that it should be.
