Luxury hotel announced as a Leading Hotel of the World

The five star Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel was yesterday announced as a new member of the prestigious hospitality organisation Leading Hotels of the World. The membership confirms The Bath Spa’s position as one of the UK's finest and most luxurious hotels and highlights the hotel’s reputation as a unique leisure destination.

The Leading Hotels of the World is the prestigious luxury hospitality organisation representing more than 430 of the world’s finest hotels, resorts and spas. The organisations mission is to be the pre-eminent provider of products and services to luxury hotels and to the premium hotel sector.

Hotels seeking to join The Leading Hotels of the World must apply for admission and meet the most exacting standards. The Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel had to undergo a series of inspections based on an extensive list of 1,500 separate criteria and staff underwent a week long programme of external training.
