A luxury sanctuary on the banks of the Zambezi
Zambezi Kulefu Camp, one of Sanctuary Lodges & Camps’ luxury properties in Africa, is set on the banks of the Zambezi River and will be opening later this month to complete the company’s circuit of safari lodges in Zambia. The camp is the last of Sanctuary’s new Zambian properties to open its doors to the public. Sanctuary Lodges & Camps has recently expanded its portfolio into Zambia with the acquisition of a circuit of four lodges at some of the most stunning game-viewing hot-spots in this relatively undiscovered African destination.
Zambezi Kulefu Camp is situated in the Lower Zambezi National Park on the wildest stretch of the Zambezi River. It is comprised of seven spacious, custom-built en-suite luxury tents, set on platforms with private decks overlooking the Zambezi River and shaded by Winterthorn Acacias.
The property boasts a swimming pool right on the riverbank, as well as a raised teak viewing deck overlooking the Zambezi. The central lounge and dining area are housed in an impressive Bedouin-style tent, which by night is lit only by the glow of the campfire and traditional paraffin lamps, to create an intimate and traditional safari atmosphere.
Zambezi Kulefu Camp offers fantastic game viewing with regular sightings of lion, leopard and elephant. Guests staying at the lodge can take advantage of guided game drives in open-sided 4x4 vehicles, canoeing on the Zambezi, fishing from aluminium hulled game viewing boats and walking safaris through the valley.
